What a great Sunday!

We had a great day yesterday! Of course, since it was the Lord's day, it was a great day to begin with! What a joy it is to meet with other believers and worship the One who alone is worthy to receive our praise and worship. There were 2 first time visitors at church. They were 2 teenage girls studying at the local tech school. They are Thai and from this area. One of them, we know isn't a believer, and God brought them and they heard the gospel.

In the afternoon, we took the girls to Muankan village where the girls put on a Bible club for the children in the village. This was actually the first time we have done this since the start of the school year in May. For the first time in about 5 months, we had a great turnout. There were about 20 children total, most of them between the ages of 5 and 10. Nee, Kung and Mae did a great job of teaching. Creme and Nai, the 2 new girls, watched and Creme had a blast playing games with the children. Newt, Peace and Mone are more reserved around people they don't know, so they just blended in with what was going on. Wee and Golf (Golf is his nickname), 2 of the boys at the boys house wanted to go with us, so they played guitar during worship and during game time. These 2 boys will be going with us more and more as the Lord leads. This is Wee's 2nd year here, and Golf's first year.

While the girls taught the children, Kia led a time of prayer and encouragement in the Word with 7 adults, one or two of which aren't believers. There is no church in this village, so the few villagers who are Christians have no regular time of worship and teaching.

We then ended the day by going to a waterfall that is close to Muankan village. It was a hot day yesterday (another HUGE praise) and so the waterfall was quite refreshing.
